Takis
Kozokos
Born in Athens, Greece, in 1960.
He is sculpting since 1978, when he met his teacher
Yiannis Maniatakos in Tynos island, Greece, along with
other local craftsmen.
Graduated from the Tynos School of Fine Arts and
continued his studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
During 1990-1997 he worked as a sculptor and maintainer
at the ancient Acropolis of Athens and later as a
sculptor at the Acropolis Museum, until 2000.
He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and
he is often honored by his colleagues for his critique
at its decisions.
He is a member of the Sculptors’ Union of Greece where
he served as a President during 1998-2000.
Since 1988, he is also working as an Art Teacher and he
has organized together with other colleagues the Fine
Arts Workshop for the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi in
Athens.
Today he is directing the Arts Workshop of Agia
Paraskevi, and he is also organizing and directing the
Arts Workshop for the Municipality of Pallini in Athens.
Takis Kozokos is also a professor at the School of
Architecture and Engineering, at the Demokritos
University of Thrace (D.U.Th), Greece.
Since 2001 he is working with the Fine Arts team of the
University (Y. Parmakelis, A. Michaelidis, N. Thomas, A.
Mandrali).
